Jimmy's new easel

We ordered this easel online last July and hid it for Christmas. We worried about him being old enough to use it. (Back in July, he was a whole different kiddo! He'd just started walking.) He seems to love it, don't you think?

We've really been thinking that he seems to be left handed for a while now. We started noticing some tendancy when he started eating solids. Now, he often colors with his left hand . . .

. . . and his right, so who knows?!?!?!

That is way cool! We worry about Elliott being a lefty, too. He eats better with his left for sure. I guess only time will tell, but for now we try to redirect him to use his right. I hope that's not bad...we just know how hard it is for left-handed people to survive in a right-handed world!

It's so hard to know which hand it will be when they switch back and forth. J & J do the same thing. Matthew is definitely right-handed. I won't be surprised if one of the twins are left-handed since they seem to be at least partial mirror images of each other. As far as redirecting when they use their left hand...I have heard that is not a good idea. Something about the hand you use being connected to the side of the brain you use more?! Not sure of the details on that, though. My parents did the same thing and I mainly use my right now, but I still have times when I use my left more for certain things. I've asked my mom several times why she didn't just let me use my left b/c I might have been meant to be a total lefty! :)

Looks like he had a blast with the easel. We think Nadia is going to be a righty.
